DOUG - The Boss Man
Doug is our big boss, he is the brains behind our operation and is the face you'll see on your delivery. The idea for Essential Ice was born from the need of clear blocks when he ran a boutique cocktail lounge, he had limited storage space and the delivery charge made the order nonviable.
Doug has a real passion for all things hospitality, and because he has ran multiple bars in his career so he had a deep understanding of exactly what you need.
On the odd free day, you'll usually find Doug out on a dog walk or bike ride with his family. He's a simple soul!
SOPHIE - The behind the scenes one
Sophie is often the one that emails you, she runs the back of office operations and gets cold in the freezer helping the lads out during the peak months - much to her delight, she prefers a warmer climate!
Sophie is co-director of Essential Ice and has seen the growth of the business from the very start.
When she's not working, you'll find her with a big glass of wine running after her two kids!
BEN - The Grafter
Ben is our grafter, he is the one who chops and polishes each and every block of ice we create. Ben loves being creative and LOVES it when we get weird and wonderful requests!
When he's not working, you'll find him in his tattoo studio or with a can of Guiness!
